To install TinyXP from this CD, set your PC in the BIOS to boot from your CD-ROM drive.

Only install this operating system onto a freshly formatted partition or hard disk.

There is no upgrade option available, because the option is removed. You do not need any product key in this release, the installation of TinyXP is unattended, apart from in the beginning where you choose which drive or partition to install to.

All installations are set to US English. (This can be changed after installation)

[Here is a breakdown of the five boot options]

- For Microsoft fans… The first two options include Internet Explorer 7 Web Browser, Outlook Express Email Client and Windows Media Player 11 so Windows XP is up to date and as Bill Gates intended.

- For people who don’t like Microsoft programs… The second two options do not include Internet Explorer 7, Outlook Express, or Windows Media Player 11. In the second two options where IE/OE/WMP are removed, Opera v9.21 is installed to replace Internet Explorer and Mozilla Thunderbird v2.0.0.0 is installed to replace Outlook Express.

- Automatic Driver Installation… Options one and three both include drivers to cover the following: Chipset, CPU, Ethernet LAN Cards, SATA (Mass Storage) and Wireless Ethernet.

- No Drivers Included… Options two and four do not contain those drivers - this is in case you have SATA problems with the first or third options, or if you just want to install your own drivers.

- Acronis Backup + Restore… Option five allows you to backup your existing partition(s) before installing Windows, or you can quickly restore a backup made previously with Acronis. This version of Acronis True Image Home is safe to use if you want to back up Windows Vista.

Posle instalacije čuči u system try-u, a može da stoji i na vrhu ekrana ako se često bavite ovim poslom. Poseduje dobar panel za fino podešavanje aplikacije, u svakom slučaju zgodno ako se bavite izradom sajtova, programa u timovima.

Juče me je prijatelj obradovao linkom do jednostavnog, malenog i svrsi-shodnog programa za skidanje video fajlova. Program je besplatan. Opcija koja me je posebno oduševila je ta da kada odaberete da se konverzija fajla vrši u .FLV format skinuti fajl zove kako je i napisano na youtube naslovu. Pored .flv, moguće je sačuvati fajl i kao .avi i .mpeg.

Ko još nije prešao na VISTU, a ne koristi neki od MAC operativnih sistema, lepa zamena za dock pokretanje programa je svakako Aqua Dock. Besplatan i mali program koji se instalira gotovo u sekundi. Može da stoji gore, dole, levo, desno, da je “always on top” da ima trasparentnu pozadinu, da mu se smanje i povećaju ikonice koje se uvlače i izbacuju jednostavnim prevlačenjem prečica u Akvu i iz nje. Sve ostale opcije će te pronaći ako kliknete desnim dugmetom na kraj ili izmđu ikonica kada se otvara aquin meni…

Mnogim ljudima smeta i ne snalaze se u novom systemu ribona koje je uveo Microsoft u svojoj poslednjoj verziji Office 2007 paketa. No, eto, opravili ljudi i fix za to pa sad imate da skinete klasičan meni - stariji, koji se integriše u novi Office lako i jednostavno. Prevode za filmove redovno skidam sa dve lokacije, www.titlovi.net i www.opensubtitles.org. Na poslednjem sajtu sam primetio da postoji i program za download istih koji u mnogome ubrzava njihovo traženje. Posle skidanja i pokretanja programa, potrebno je samo uvući željeni film za koji tražite prevod, dobijate listu jezika-prevoda koje ste predhodno označili da Vam trebaju. Juče sam navratio kod kolege sa posla. Osnovni razlog za posetu je da vidim kako je napravio tj. kako izgleda poslednja faza njegove kamene bašte u koju je na zahtev sina integrisao i malo jezerce sa nekoliko ribica.

Čovek je sve počeo kao eksperiment, pokupio je dosta materijala sa neta, proučio dosta knjiga i uputstava u vezi biljaka, pozicija kamena, zemlje itd. Kroz ovaj svoj rad shvatio je da je dobar u tome, da dovoljno voli to što radi i sada mu je plan da počne profesionalno da se bavi ukrašavanjem bašti, izradom sobnih i spoljnih fontana, ukrasima za akvarijume za šta već ima dovoljno iskustva koje se iz dana u dan nadopunjuje.

Sinoć sam dobio od prijateljice gore navedeni laptop da mu instaliram XP i da mu sredim internet. Kupila ga je preko Telekoma u paketu koji sa laptopom nudi i 3G internet preko SIM kartice i adaptera za istu koji je u sklopu kompa. A njegove karakteristike su sledeće:

Kao što se može videti, mašina i nije baš nešto “jaka” ali obiluje raznim bežičnim načinima povezivanja i po meni vrlo korisna stvar je ta da može da čita kartice digitalaca. U radu na njoj koji se sastojao u instalaciji drajvera i programa nije bilo nikakvih problema i sve radi lepo i brzo.

E sad da krenem redom od “outboxing-a” pa do završetka procesa i osmeha na licu:

Amilo dolazi sa 3 DVD-a na kojima su drajveri, standardni utilitiji i KNOPPIX 4.0 LIVE. Pored njih se nalazi i jedan Princo cd kojeg su dorezali “naši” Na njemu su samo drajveri za ploču, grafičku, LAN karticu, plavog zuba, itd i softwer za povezivanje na 3G mrežu-net. Dakle na njemu nema XP-a totalno golišav laptop. Ako pak želite i XP instaliran to će Vas koštati malo više od 7000din koliko i košta licenca za isti. No, da se vratim na nabrajanje, tu su još mali kabel za dial-up internet, punjač i par knjižica sa uputstvima.

Upalim ga ja, stavim da se butuje s cd-a, ubacim mu XP disk … Press any key to boot from cd… učitava, učitava i cvrc, XP ne može da se instalira jer ne prepoznaje SATA disk koji je u njemu. Posle burlanja po šturom BIOS-u nisam uspeo da nađem opciju za isključivanje SATA. Sledeći korak je bio da pitam elitesecurity za savet. I tu si ljudi imali slične ili iste probleme i 80% odgovora je bilo to da je potreban exteran flopy drajv i disketica na koju bi se predhodno snimili SATA drajveri (koji se nalaze na Princo cd-u). Kada ste kopirali fajlove na flopi i priključili ga preko USB-a na laptop, potrebno je o5 da pokrenete instalaciju Windowsa koji će Vas pitati koje drajvere da izaberete. Potrebno je odabrati “mobile” verziju harda. Posle ovog procesa sve ide po starom i ustaljenom redosledu.

Nakon završetka instalacije ugasite laptop, okrenite ga naopačke, i na dnu će te naći mali otvor koji podseća na kućište baterija na daljinskom upravljaču. Pokrećete 3G Watcher program koji se takođe nalazi na cd-u sa drajverima i on služi za uspostavljanje internet konekcije i verifikovanje vaše kartice. Nakon unošenja podataka u profil konekcije uz pomoć jednostavnog PDF-a Uputstvo sa 2 od 5 crtice signala (-96dbm-a) internet je proradio brzom brzinom. Speedtest.net je pokazao download od 1Mbit i upload od 55kbps. Nadam se da će ovom brzinom da radi i kada više ljudi počne da koristi 3G kao osnovni izlaz na net preko mobilnih telefona. Mada taj momenat neće doći tako brzo, a ovo potvrđuje i sledeći cenovnik.

Već dosta dugo koristim ovaj kalendar, to do list i organizator dešavanja. O Rainlanderu i nema puno toga da se piše, on ćuti i radi svoj posao onako kako treba i za šta je namenjen. Dole su prikazani prozori koje poseduje. Njima je moguće podešavati providnost (transparentnost), poziciju, da li da budu “on top” i da li može ili ne može da se klikne kroz njih i još dosta opcija…

Sigurno mnoge od Vas čitatelja i čitateljica nervira dosadni Auto Play prozor koji se pojavi kada ubacite neki cd, dvd, prikačite drugi hard ili gurnete USB stick. E, da se on više nikada u životu ne pojavi potrebno je otici u XP-ov centar za podešavanje svega i svačega gde se nalazi rešenje ovog problema.

Step by step uputstvo:

Start > Run > gpedit.msc otvorio Vam se novi prozor. Prvi korak je otvoriti Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates zatim kliknuti na folder System > gde će Vam se sa desne strane otvoriti lista opcija. Ovde pronađite Turn Off Autoplay, 2 klika na njega, otvara Vam se njegovo podešavanje. Potrebno je kliknuti na Enable i obeležiti da se ovo isključenje odnosti na sve drajvove.

Ceo ovaj postupak ponoviti na User Configuration sekciji takođe. Kada ovo uradite više neće iskakati dosadni prozor, a slobodno prožvrljajte i po ostalim opcijama, ima zanimljivih, možda još nešto isključite

Pre skoro godinu dana sam na Draganovom Herbiv.org-u objavio post o domaćem programu Srpskey. Tada sam kao i danas bio fasciniran idejom da se napravi ovakav veoma koristan program. U početku sam iskucavao tekst bez kvačica da bi se kasnjie vraćao i stavljao kukice na Srpskey fazon. Sada dok kucam automatski odmah koristim Srpskey prečice i mnogo sam brži! Sledi post koji sam ranije objavio a za koji mislim da je vredan jer ga sigurno niste svi videli i zapazili:

Ako često baratate sa kvačicama tj. prebacujte se između latinicne i alfabetske tastature kao ja, onda je ovaj mali program rešenje vaših muka kada se naviknete na korišćenje. Dakle Srpskey (čita se Srpski) služi za pisanje latiničnih slova bez potrebe da se prebacujete izmđu tastatura, a princip rada mu je sledeći:

Veličina mu je svega 34KB, nije potrebna instalacija, sam se implemetira u Startup i naravno ne opterećuje memoriju. Dok pišem ovaj text ujedno i učim i vežbam korišćenje Skrpsky-ja i shvatam koliko može da pomogne blogerima i svim ostalim konzumantima kvačica.
